DescriptionOperated by an elected volunteer Board of Directors, the Society does not have paid staff but rather, relies fully on club volunteers to stage our concert season. Volunteers handle every aspect of the show operations; from planning the show bookings to preparing food and liquor for concession, setting up tables and cleaning up. We are often looking for volunteers for specific duties for both the season and individual events. Ticket holders interested in joining the volunteer group should speak with David McIntyre at any SNS. Volunteer Needed - Show Night Business Manager
The club is in need of assistance in the area of cash management to help us on club nights. If you could assist, we’d be very grateful. The duties are truly not very onerous:
1. Before the show Check and distribute cash float packages to volunteer food and beverage sellers Check and distribute cash float package to product sales volunteers Prepare cheques and documentation to reimburse volunteers for show related expenditures. Board members will sign cheques. (You may also receive some reimbursement requests after the show.) 2. First break Near end of break, receive 50/50 proceeds and lock in cash bag. 3. Second break Split 50/50 so that prize can be given out at end of night Receive locked cash bags from food and beverage sellers 4. Post show · At Club: Remove reconciliation sheets from cash bags Pay artists Following week Receive copy of bank deposit slip from Treasurer, reconcile to sheets retained from show Reconcile tickets used If you can give us a hand, please send a note to davidbmcintyre@shaw.ca Thanks! |
